This is the Data Processing Notice (also known as a Privacy Policy) of Age Concern Guernsey LBG. It is issued in compliance with the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017 \u201cthe Law\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We care about your personal data and ensuring you are informed about how we use it. We acknowledge our obligations under the Law, and we promise to the best of our ability, to protect your personal data, and to manage any information you share with us in line with the Law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We acknowledge that all processing of personal data must be lawful, fair and undertaken with transparency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This Notice sets out how and why we collect and use your personal data and our legal basis for doing so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We are Age Concern Guernsey LBG, a registered charity (CH96) and a company Limited By Guarantee. We are a member of the Guernsey Disability Alliance and registered with the Guernsey Registry (CMP64549). We are also registered with The Office of the Data Protection Authority (registration number DPA3617).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Age Concern is specifically concerned with the needs and interests of all older people (defined as those over the age of 50) based chiefly in Guernsey. In addition to providing practical support to individuals, Age Concern campaigns on issues such as age discrimination and pensions, influence public opinion and government policy about older people. Together with our partners, we\u2019re changing the day-to-day experience of getting older through our friendship services which are changing the issue of loneliness among older generations provided from 4 local centres. We are helping to change loneliness and isolation into comfort and connection. We\u2019re an expert voice on ageing, changing the way older people are treated and represented in society through research and campaigning. We work with local policymakers to challenge inequalities and push for the changes that\u2019ll improve older people\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We only hold limited details of relating to our members and volunteers. This not only enables us to contact our members and volunteers and to enable us to carry out our core business services and\/or comply with a contract, but also to comply with statutory requirements and our legal obligations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The personal data we process is given to us directly by you, our members, volunteers and from inquiries through our website, telephone calls, emails or social media. We do not collect any personal data from any other sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We obtain information about you when you use our website, for example, when you communicate to us via the \u201ccontacts\u201d page, or to make a donation, register for an event we are organizing, or register to receive one of our publications\/magazines, or information about our products and services, or attend one of our centres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When you interact with us on social media platforms such as Facebook, we may obtain information about you (for example, when you publicly tag us in an event photo). The information we receive will depend on the privacy preferences you have set on those types of platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In order to be able to provide you with the services you require, we use our legal contractual basis for processing your personal data and\/or rely on our legitimate business interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In instances where we are not<\/strong> relying on a contractual and\/or legitimate business interests\u2019 basis, we rely on consent to lawfully process your personal data. This can be obtained orally, by email or in writing. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, however, it must be highlighted that by withdrawing your consent we may not be able to provide you with our core services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Defined in the Law as \u2013 \u201cPersonal data revealing an individual\u2019s racial or ethnic origin, political opinion, religious or philosophical belief, trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data, health data, data concerning an individual\u2019s sex life or orientation, & criminal data.<\/em>\u201d The Law requires this data to be processed with additional protection, and consent to do so is included on our Membership Form<\/p>\n\n\n\n We do not share your personal data with any third party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We do not transfer your personal data outside the Bailiwick of Guernsey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n We do not use any form of direct marketing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n All data is retained securely and only used for the purposes for which it was collected under the Law. Data is only retained for as long as is required to comply with our statutory obligations, in order for us to provide you with the services forming part a contract, or with your consent. In any event, data is reviewed and weeded 7 years after a member leaves Age Concern Guernsey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Law provides you with a number of rights, but specifically and of relevance, you have the right to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n This notice does not cover any third-party websites or social media sites used in conjunction with Age Concern We are not responsible for the actions or activities of third-party website\/social media outlets.
